Review: Nars Blush in Taj Mahal

Today’s post is about a blush that’s a little outside the usual color schemes.
It’s not a coral, nor a peach or a red.
Yet it’s one of the most beautiful blush I own and definitely among the ones I prefer to use.
We’re talking about Nars’s Taj Mahal.
 
Oggi parliamo di un blush diverso dai soliti.
Non è un corallo, non è pesca, non è rosso.
Eppure è uno dei blush più belli che ho e uno di quelli che uso più volentieri.
Stiamo parlano di Taj Mahal di Nars.

It’s a product that instantly changes the way you look, giving us that extra something that’s not achievable even if you follow a skincare routine with religious care.
Today we’ll talk about Maybelline’s Baby Skin primer, I’ve received them for testing purposes a while ago and now I can share with you my first impressions about it.
Il primer viso dà dipendenza.
È un prodotto che migliora istantaneamente l’aspetto della pelle, ci regala quel qualcosa in più che non riusciamo ad ottenere neanche seguendo religiosamente una routine di skincare.
Oggi vi parlo dei primer viso Baby Skin di Maybelline, li ho ricevuti da testare qualche tempo fa e per ora posso condividere le mie prime impressioni a riguardo.

Review: Hourglass Ambient Lightning Powder in Dim Light

Today’s post is not an easy one to write, I’ll be honest.
We’re talking about a super hyped product and a really pricey one.
The worst part is that this isn’t available in Italy except for one store in Milan. Talking about something that I love so much without just saying “it’s amazing, buy it!” it’s going to be quite the task but I’ll do my best.
 
Il post di oggi non è semplice da scrivere, decisamente no.
Parliamo di un prodotto di cui si è parlato molto in passato, attorno al quale c’è un hype pazzesco.
Un prodotto che è anche estremamente costoso e che in Italia si può acquistare di persona solo nella Sephora all’interno del Brian&Barry Building a Milano che detiene l’esclusiva del marchio Hourglass.
La tentazione di dire solo “è bellissimo, compratelo!” c’è ma cercherò di essere un po’ più articolata e di giustificare il mio entusiasmo anche perché non è proprio economica -sui cinquanta euro-.

Review: Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream

My love for base products is no breaking news.
A couple of days ago I was at home with Soffice Lavanda’s Takiko and after she screamed “You have so many foundations!” (let’s not talk about the fact that most of my stash is at my parents’s place) she asked me if it’s the product I buy the most.
And well it’s not, basically because I don’t them to go to waste.
But they surely are the first products I look at while I’m at a makeup counter. Foundations, concealers, powders: the best part of makeup as far as I’m aware.
All this long bla boa boa to tell you that this week I’ll go over three of the base products I’m loving the most lately.
Il mio amore per i prodotti per la base non è una novità, vero?
Qualche giorno fa ero a casa con Takiko di Soffice Lavanda e dopo che ha urlato “Ma quanti fondotinta hai!” (lasciamo stare che a Milano non ho nemmeno la metà di quelli che ho a Bergamo a casa dei miei, ops), mi ha chiesto se fossero il prodotto che compro di più.
E no, non sono il prodotto che acquisto più spesso ma semplicemente perché so che si deteriorano con il tempo più di altri prodotti e mi dispiacerebbe sprecarne troppi.
Però ogni volta che scopro un nuovo brand o faccio un giro in profumeria i prodotti per la base sono i primi che vado a guardare.
Fondotinta, correttori, ciprie: per me sono la parte più bella del trucco.
Tutta questa premessa per dire che questa settimana parleremo di tre prodotti che sono tra i miei preferiti in questo periodo.

Sensitive Skin and Bla Bla Bla.

A few days we talked about skincare, remember?
So you know that I have normal skin with some drier areas and few imperfections.
But most of all, you know that I deeply care about my skin care routine and that as time goes by I just care about it more.
When Nivea asked me to try the products in the Sensitive range I accepted, curious.
Qualche giorno fa abbiamo parlato di skincare e ne abbiamo parlato tanto, vi ricordate?
Sapete quindi che la mia pelle è normale, con qualche zona più secca e poche imperfezioni.
Ma soprattutto sapete che la cura per la pelle per me è fondamentale e che ultimamente ci tengo sempre di più.
Quando Nivea mi ha proposto di provare i prodotti della linea Sensitive ho accettato, curiosa.

I’ve tried a lot of Maybelline’s mascaras trough the years.
I love those super colourful tubes and some of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried are from this brand.
Today we’ll talk about my first impressions on the newest release from the Volume Express range, Colossal Go Extreme, that I’ve had the chance to try.
Ho provato decine di mascara Maybelline nel corso degli anni.
Sono un po’ affezionata a quelle confezioni iper colorate e tra i migliori mascara che io abbia mai provato ci sono proprio alcuni di questo brand.
Oggi condivido con voi le mie prime impressioni -è presto per una review!- sull’ultimo nato in casa Maybelline che ho avuto l’opportunità di ricevere e testare, il Colossal Go Extreme, parte della linea Volume Express.

May Favorites!

May is over, can you believe it? I surely can’t.
Going on holiday at the end of april, before my exams session, kind of messed up my mind.
It definitely did some damage to the makeup side of my life!
Mainly because I’m still quite tanned and no foundation I own really works at the moment. I did want to get a new one but I didn’t, don’t I deserve at least an hug for resisting temptations? 
As far as my actual life goes I’ve spent most of the month stuck in the library studying so I didn’t have a lot of needs.
For my nights out -those few when I’ve forced my self to get out and see people- I’ve come up with an easy and quick combo that looks pretty good.
È finito anche maggio, ma ci crediamo? Io proprio no!
Andare in vacanza a fine aprile, prima della sessione di esami, mi ha sballato un po’, anche per quanto riguarda il lato makeup della mia vita.
Principalmente perché mi sono abbronzata tanto e nessun fondotinta mi va bene -e ho resistito alla tentazione di comprarne un altro, mi merito almeno un abbraccio?-.
Per quanto riguardo la mia vita a maggio ho passato la maggior parte delle mie giornate in biblioteca a studiare quindi diciamo che non ho avevo grandissime esigenze.
Per le serate -perché sì, a volte mi sono trascinata fuori- ho trovato una combinazione di qualche prodotto che mi sta bene e mi porta via poco tempo e vai così.
