“Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.” Samuel Johnson

This post is totally random.
But I love sharing my thoughts with you, my lovely readers.
I’m really shy and writing what I think is easier than saying it out loud.
Somehow, I feel like I can write everything I think in this little space.
Anyway, I want to talk with you about something I really love: London.

My dad is english and most of his family still lives in London.
I go there as much as I can, at least twice a year.
I know that, if you live there, you may think that London is not the best place in the world and you’re probably right, surely there are thousands of things that are not that great about this city.
But for a 20 years girl London is THE place.
In this post I’m going to share some of the things/places I like the most about the city of my dreams. These are surely places that everybody knows and I know I’m not showing you secret places, but I really love the following things!

The National Portrait Gallery
I love the National Gallery but I love the National Portrait Gallery even more.
I think every single portrait in the gallery deserves your attention.
I don’t think I have the authority to give you an advice, but I can tell you that I really love the portraits of the photographer Ida Kar.

Bea’s of Bloomsbury
I love this small cafè, the relaxed atmosphere, the afternoon tea and their cupcakes.

Honest Jon’s
Music is a big part of my life, I grew up with every type of music played in my house, Italian *classical* pieces chosen by my mom and pretty much everything else my dad liked, which means actually EVERY kind of music. In this shop I can find tons of CDs and vinyls I like.

Borough Market
I just love wandering there, buying and eating food.

St. James Park
My mom has a great passion for every kind of flower, when we’re in London she always wants to go in as many parks as we can. St. James is probably my favorite park.
KOKO
A former theatre in Camden, as you can see, Koko is now my fave club in London.
I love the Buttoned Down Disco nights and the Club NME ones.
I really hope I’ll be able to see a live performance there, I’m sure it would be great.
Irregular Choice
This shop in Carnaby always catches my eye. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a pair of these unique shoes, but I really like them!
Book&Comic Exchange
Reading.
I learned to read when I was 4 and I never stopped.
If I had to choose between books and make up, I’d choose books.
You’ve probably realized by now that I really love make up so this should explain just how much I love reading.
This place is just perfect.
I could spend like hours in it.
Oh, wait, I actually do.
When I’m in there I have to look in every corner and I alway come out of there with way too many books.
I could write about thousands of places I love but this post is long enough!
Hope this post wasn’t too boring!
With love,
S.
